Today we installed some beautiful signage for Hartmann at Macquarie Park. The signage comprised of three elements, including a printed wall graphic showing a prism style design, a 3D sign with LED illumination and a signwritten wall illustration in black
Early April saw completion of the ICARE Newcastle internal illustrations. As well as statements like "Everyone's work is valuable", illustrations of local landmarks were used. These included The Nobbys Beach lighthouse and The Christ Church Cathedral.
If you're interested in seeing "How to sign write a splash window" see the video below... I hope you learn something and get inspired! It's been a busy start to 2016, having completed the signwriting component for ICARE ( previously known as workcover ) at 321 Kent Street in 2015. We are now moving straight onto the Newcastle office with next week seeing new illustrations and narratives to be hand painted onto gyprock walls and columns. The idea is to give ICARE's vision and internal communications a fun and playful feel, to generate collaboration amongst staff.
At Stewart Brown Signs in any given year, we complete signage for approx 200 vehicles, from basic logos through to full graphic wraps. This week reminded me of how simple design principles are all that is needed to execute great signage. Here's an example of just that. Legible, unique and memorable.
A big thank you to Graphic Art Mart and Avery for providing ongoing support and service. This week our team participated in a hands-on training session on vehicle wrapping, with instruction from Avery. There's always some great take home information and some good laughs. I was thumbing through old photos and found this guy. Our old mascot from the 90's. He was hand shaped in polystyrene foam and coated in elastomer, then paint finished in 2-pak.
